The "cookie-config" "path" Defined In web.xml Deployment Descriptor File Is Not Honored (Doc ID 2753347.1)

Symptoms

The "<cookie-config> <path>" defined in the web.xml deployment descriptor has no effect. The path can only be set by defining <session-descriptor> <cookie-path> in weblogic.xml.

The below setting in the web.xml file does not seem to be honored.

 This issue seems similar to <Bug 18376812> .
