Goal

On : 12.3.0.1.4 version,

Special characters are not replicated in Golden Gate


Special characters like ? are being converted to hexa characters like \xCC \x88 when being replicated. We are receiving input from Peoplesoft Database which is Oracle Exadata and Target is Windows SQL server. Please find the example below:
Source database Character set : AL32UTF8
Target database character set : windows-1252

Eg. If source description field is H?E?B, -HEB Whse Mgmt Implemen, in target we recieve H\xE2\x80\x91E\xE2\x80\x91B, -

Please let us know if we need to include any special character set in specific to this issue.
