Applies to:
Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
An OID 11g environment uses external authentication plugins to authenticate users to applications with Active Directory credentials. The Active Directory environment was recently changed to enable Secure AD (LDAPs) which breaks the LDAP authentication in OID.
How to setup a new OID instance and to configure it without using the external LDAP authentication to Active Directory and have the users and passwords stored in OID only to prevent potential issues from any future LDAP/AD changes?
