What Is the Alternative to Oracle Traffic Director For Routing Both HTTP and TCP Based Traffic? (Doc ID 2775909.1)

Last updated on JUNE 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Traffic Director - Version 11.1.1.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Oracle Traffic Director (OTD) is currently being used to route both HTTP(s) and TCP based traffic to backend origin server pools.  However since Oracle is deprecating OTD as of 12.2.1.4 it is recommending to use Oracle Http Server (OHS) for equivalent functionality. Using OHS may be a good option for routing HTTP based traffic, but for TCP based traffic OHS doesn't have that functionality. Is there any other alternative to route both HTTP and TCP based traffic?
