Symptoms

Following error is returned attempting to delete a SQL data source from assets in Oracle WebCenter Portal:

Delete operation resulted in error. If you see the asset in asset manager, try deleting it again. 

Portal diagnostics log contains the following:

[<TIMESTAMP>] [WC_Portal] [WARNING] [] [oracle.webcenter.datapresenter.internal.dataservice.common.AbstractDataService] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '16' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <USER_ID>] [ecid: <ECID>] [APP: webcenter] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] [DSID: <DSID>] Datasource '<DATASOURCE_NAME>' cannot be deleted because following business objects and corresponding visualizations are using it : <DATASOURCE>Business Object [<DATA_VISUALIZATION_OBJECT>]
