Goal

Users' home directories are on a Network File System (NFS) mounted from a Network Attached Storage (NAS).

After a recent update to the Storage Attached Network (SAN) software, Oracle Developer Studio 12.6 User Interface disappears suddenly without leaving any trace of any error or core file.
