In A Disaster/Recovery (DR) Scenario JMS Servers Recover But Queues Are Missing On Admin Console (Doc ID 2782929.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 07, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In a Disaster/Recovery (DR) scenario JMS Servers seem to recover but queues are not displayed in the Admin Console Monitoring.

It's observed that all JMS Servers recover showing health OK and no errors, but distributed queues are missing on one of the JMS servers.

WLS persistent stores use Oracle DB Primary - Standby architecture.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Start the load and message consumption on 4 JMS Servers with distributed queues

2. Kill the primary database box (not the database instance but the whole machine)

Due to this issue, users cannot implement Disaster Recovery
