BPM Workspace behaves erratically after installing a SOA bundle patch (Doc ID 2793320.1)

Symptoms

After installing the latest bundle patch the workspace started to behave erratically and most of the functionality is lost.
Specifically, after login into the BPM workspace the following behavior is observed:
- The tasks do not show up on the tasks list
- When the user attempts to click on any tab (Tasks, Cases, etc) it doesn't reacts
- When the user attempts to click on the user name on the top right corner - nothing happens.

The same works just find on the SOA worklist.
