How to Disable SSL in Oracle HTTP Server 12c (Doc ID 2800652.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 12.1.3.0.0 to 12.2.1.4.0 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

By default, Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c (12.x) Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) is configured with SSL for security. This document shows how to configure OHS to support only non-SSL connections. There is no direct reason to do this unless for some reason the SSL was failing and needing a temporary workaround. It is not recommended to disable SSL in production. Note that this also has not been fully tested across the Oracle Fusion Middleware stack and may not be supported where other components may require SSL only.
Oracle does NOT RECOMMEND disabling SSL (Non-SSL) configuration of OHS. The following steps may be performed at your own risk.
