The source [ARTIFACT NAME] is currently associated with some transfers and so cannot be deleted. (Doc ID 2805952.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 16, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Managed File Transfer - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

MFT source and target artifact that have both been undeployed and when attempting to delete them, this error occurs:

The source [ARTIFACT NAME] is currently associated with some transfers and so cannot be deleted.

The transfer(s) that the source and target were associated with were also undeployed and have been already deleted. Despite that, the MFT application will not delete the source or target artifact because it still is detecting a reference to a transfer which no longer exists.

Furthermore, an error occurs when navigating to the "Show Deployment Details" pop-up dialog for the source and target. This dialog shows the transfer which the source/target was associated with which no longer exists (has been undeployed and deleted). The error "Error Fetching Transfer" is displayed when we click on the non-existing referencing transfer.
