PKIX Path Building Failed Error With WLST "nmconnect" (Doc ID 2810985.1)

Symptoms

SSL was enabled on the server using a custom Keystore and trust. However, when connecting to NodeManager via (WLST > nmConnect) string, receiving the below error from WLST and log file:
