DBUM Connector Giving Connector Attribute Value Is Invalid Because It Contains Unsupported Character (Doc ID 2815389.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 29, 2023

Applies to:

Identity Manager Connector - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

DBUM connector giving Connector Attribute value is invalid because it contains an unsupported character.

We are using DBUM connector for provisioning to MYSQL, and it fails to update the password if it contains & or ; in the password.
We don't have those characters listed in the unsupported character set.

The target version is the Oracle rds database.

If we update the password directly with those characters in the database, it takes it.

We are using the 12.2.1.3.0 version of the DBUM connector without any patches.

The documentation says we can modify unsupported characters like adding removing those characters from that configuration.
