OUD 12c - OUD NodePort on OCNE not Dropping Connections (Doc ID 2815975.1)

Symptoms

Multiple OUD Pods have been deployed on OCNE 1.2.3. The NodePort Service has also been deployed for OUD based on EDG documentation.
When testing using an external ldapsearch through worker nodes with NodePort, sometimes connection failed with the following return messages,

 

Eg,

ldapsearch -h WORKER_NODE_HOSTNAME -p NodePort -D "LDAP DN" -w PASSWORD -b "SUFFIX BASEDN" "objectclass=*"

ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: Can't contact LDAP server (-1)

However, all tests which go through control plane nodes work all the time.
