Last updated on SEPTEMBER 05, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.4.210517 and later
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 12.2.1.4.200123 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading to Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.4.0 the IKM Oracle Slowly Changing Dimension TYPE II versioning behavior is not working as the previous on ODI 12.2.1.2.6.

While inserting a record update the versioning based on the start and end date is working fine. The ACTIVE FLAG is not being updated properly with the value 1. The value inserted is null.

In the previous ODI version (12.2.1.2.6), it is not required to map a value to the ACTIVE FLAG column. The IKM Oracle Slowly Changing Dimension would set the ACTIVE FLAG as 1 for the current record and 0 for the history record.

In the ODI 12.2.1.4 version, to have the IKM Oracle Slowly Changing Dimension TYPE II functionality work properly, it is required to map the value 1 to the ACTIVE FLAG.
