Symptoms
After updating client desktops to Java 8u301, executing the JNLP files on Checkout And Open (COAO) fails.
We are updating our client's desktop java version to Java 8u301 – 32-bit. Since the update was executed, the Check Out and Open action on WebCenter Content fails. The JNLP file is executed, you are asked for consent to run it, and then a pop up message just tells that the Check Out and Open failed.
I wasn't sure if this should be opened as a Java or WCC incident, but in the end it's all linked. Is there any setting on the Java (desktop client side) that we can set up to allow COAO JNLP files to work?
