Goal

This document covers how to monitor the LDAP backends using new properties offered in OUD 12.2.1.4.211008.

The default OUD proxy load balancing algorithm is based on performing an ANONYMOUS bind to backend Root DN and if that bind is not successful, OUD proxy switches the traffic to the next available. However, that behavior is not enough when the Root DN is available but the backend database becomes disabled due to different issues (failures).
