Symptoms
After the upgrade of the database to version 19.12, an application using JDBC 11.2.0.3 fails to connect, reporting the error: ORA-28040: No matching authentication protocol.
The issue does not reproduce when the database is 19.7, and SQL*Plus connections to the same upgraded database are working fine.
