Goal
Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) has two types of Work Repository:
- Development-type Work Repository.
This type of Repository allows management of design-time objects such as Models and Projects (including Mappings, Procedures, etc).
A development Repository also includes the run-time objects (Scenarios, Load Plans, Sessions, and Load Plan executions).
This type of repository is suitable for development environments. - Execution-type Work Repository. This type of Repository only includes run-time objects (Scenarios, Load Plans, Sessions, and Load Plan executions).
It allows launching and monitoring of executions in ODI Console or ODI Studio > Operator view.
Such a Repository cannot access the "Designer" view, and does not contain any design-time artifacts.
This type of repository is suitable for production environments.
How to know if an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) environment is either in production mode or in development mode?
