Changes on MDS not reflected when using java functions along with XQUERY (Doc ID 2863017.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Suite - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.1.4.0 version, Fabric

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Changes on MDS not reflected when using java functions along with XQUERY

When a changed xsl is deployed to MDS/SOA the old version still reflects until the server is bounced.

Earlier this was shown on specific xqueries
ref
Unable to get latest changes on MDS using ora:processXSLT while ora:doXSLTransformForDoc works OK (Doc ID 2785178.1)
Bug 32520584 - Unable to get latest changes on MDS using ora:processXSLT

After applying Patch 32520584, then it was noticed that this still fails when using custom Xpath functions.

On this use case a custom java library (jar) was created to use the xpath functions.

As a work around customer has to constantly bounce the server each time a XSD file gets modified, which they can't afford constant down time for each of their changes on XSD files (they change this almost daily).

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
To be able to reflect changes on MDS without restarting the servers.
