Oracle Identity Management (OIM): How to Set Up a Java Connector Server Locally to Troubleshoot Connector Issues (Doc ID 2864758.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 02, 2024

Applies to:

Identity Manager Connector - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Identity Manager - Version 11.1.2.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Connector issues are often hard to isolate and diagnose.  There are times when it is beneficial to isolate connector log messages into a single brief log file or isolate the connector bundle for replacement with a newer, older, or diagnostic patch version of the bundle.  Having a connector server already configured makes any troubleshooting or bundle replacement quicker and easier, and eliminates the need to restart the OIM servers if the bundle must be replaced.
