Internal Error Attempting to Login to WebCenter Portal After Applying Java8 Update 331+: Malformed IPv6 address at index 8 (Doc ID 2865449.1)

Symptoms

After applying April CPU patches for Oracle WebCenter, including replacing Java8 U321 with Java8 U331, users receive an "Internal Error" and are unable to login to WebCenter Portal. Errors are reported in the diagnostic log:

 The issue would also occur with later JDK versions (1.8.0_331+).

Changes

Replaced Java8 U321 with Java8 U331 in the Fusion Middleware.
