Exalogic: TCP Communication Between the Guest VMs Intermittently Fails with Connection Timeout Errors (Doc ID 2866607.1)

Symptoms

In Exalogic Virtual racks, issue of TCP communication between Guest VMs intermittently failing with Connection Timeout errors is noticed. The issue is noticed on both EoIB and IPoIB networks.

Looking into the TCP dumps of source and destination VMs, for the failed TCP communications we notice that the SYN packets from source VM reached destination VM, but there was no ACK packet from the destination VM.

Changes

TCP settings changes at OS level.
