CPU Patch Conflicts with ODI Bundle Patches

Purpose
This article provides information for various scenarios where CPU patch conflicts occur with ODI Bundle Patches.
Symptoms
Scenario 1: Conflict when applying a WLS PSU / CPU or FMW BP to an environment where an older ODI BP already exists
Scenario 1a: Applying the WLS PSU, FMW Thirdparty BP and / or ADF BP
When attempting to apply the latest WebLogic Server (WLS) Patch Set Update (PSU) / Critical Patch Update (CPU) in an environment where an older ODI Bundle Patch (BP) has already been applied, a conflict is reported. This issue may occur for the October 2023 WLS PSU Patch 35893811 (12.2.1.4.231010), January 2023 WLS PSU Patch 34883826 (12.2.1.4.221210), the October 2022 WLS PSU Patch 34689215 (12.2.1.4.221011), the July 2022 WLS PSU Patch 34236279 (12.2.1.4.220602) and the April 2022 WLS PSU Patch 34012040 (12.2.1.4.220329).
The same issue may occur when applying the FMW Thirdparty Bundle and / or the ADF Bundle Patch.
Below is the snippet of the patch conflict error received when applying the WLS Bundle Patch 34012040 (12.2.1.4.220329) in an environment where ODI Bundle Pach 33747852 (12.2.1.4.220112) already exists:
