ODI VCS "Pending Changes" Fails with "ODI-12308: View Pending Changes operation failed." (Doc ID 2870789.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c is configured with Version Control System (VCS), Git.

When attempting to checkin all objects using "Team -> VCS Actions -> Pending Changes" command, the following error occurs:



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. In ODI Studio, select "Team -> VCS Actions -> Pending Changes"
2. Check all objects that are found
3. Click ok
