Experiencing High CPU Usage on E1 JAS Server (Doc ID 2877204.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 17, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An issue with high CPU usage is experienced from the java.exe processes on non-production JAS/BSSV server. The java.exe processes associated with three E1 instances and the Admin Server java.exe are each consuming 20-25% of the CPU on this server, keeping it pegged at 100%.

The JAS logs and WebLogic logs do not show anything that jumping out as the cause of the issue. The server was recently given an additional 2 CPUs, but this did not help the issue. The high CPU usage is an issue even if there are no users logged in.

The CPU usage on the server goes right to 100% after a restart of all the WebLogic servers including the Admin Server.
