Goal

When you are rapidly running out of space on a single node UCM instance, or you intend to share the <domain_home>/ucm/cs folder to create a clustered UCM instance, you may choose to move that folder on a new drive with plenty of free space. Of course that path is defined in the intradoc.cfg folder (from <domain_home>/ucm/cs/bin) as the IntradocDir variable and it is editable. But changing it after the UCM server has already been started it is not a good idea. The other two variables WeblayoutDir and VaultDir are easily and safely editable, as described in a few notes referenced in the end of this note, but the IntradocDir variable should be left unchanged. Sow, how to keep it unchanged and also to move the folder on a new disk, in a Linux operating system, is described below.

But before testing the solution make sure you read and understood the ** WARNINGS ** below and also your Linux System Administrator is assisting you in this process.
