ODI Groovy Script Execution Successful in Zero Seconds Though No Operations Are Performed (Doc ID 2879558.1)

Symptoms

When running a Groovy Script in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), the script step executes and finishes successfully, however, the script does not perform any of the expected operations. The runtime of the job is zero or near-zero seconds.

If the same script is executed outside of ODI, it is successful.
