Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.1.4.0 version, Library OVD

When using the Read-Only SQLAuthenticator as authentication provider Roles and Accounts are not pulled up for the users in WCC.

This Read-only SQL authenticator was added to WLS by following steps:

Fusion Middleware Security Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition

Configuring a Database as the Authentication Provider

Note: At the present time these steps are not included in the WebCenter documentation but if they are not followed, no libOVD adapter is created for the SQL authenticator so they are necessary.

SQL authenticator users and groups show fine in WLS Console but when a user from that authenticator logs in to the UCM Console its groups do not show up.

UCM trace logs show:

The way to reproduce this issue is as follows:

1) Log in to the UCM console with a SQL authenticator user credentials
2) Click on that user on the top right corner of the UCM Console
3) Verify that this user's roles are only guest, authenticated. These two roles are assigned to all users by UCM. Roles are mapped from users' groups. The groups assigned to this user in SQL authenticator do not show up here so this user cannot complete the necessary tasks in the UCM Console
