Purpose

This document shows what maintenance actions should be performed on Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to reduce occurrence of performance reduction and other problems.

These maintenance activities should be performed for any ODI release.

Purpose
Questions and Answers
 The following Maintenance should be performed regularly (the recommended interval is mentioned under each task):
 Task 1: DB Maintenance - Compute Statistics to reclaim wasted space after running a purge and weekly
 Task 2: Purge the Sessions log and the Scenario reports weekly
 Task 3: Purge the historical values of ODI variables quarterly as well as prior to any upgrade and before applying ODI bundle patches which update the repository
 Task 4: Apply CPU patches and ODI Bundle Patches as they are released quarterly
 Task 5: Clear the nohup.out file
