Last updated on JULY 27, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.3.0 and later
Linux x86-64
Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.2.170418

Purpose

This document provides instructions for upgrading Exalogic Kinetic Infrastructure Tools (EKIT) RPMs within an existing EKIT vServer deployed on a rack running Exalogic Virtual. The following documents provide EKIT quickstart templates and EKIT RPMs, and are updated when newer versions of the templates or RPMs are released:

Exalogic Virtual: EKIT QuickStart Template for EECS 2.0.6.x.x (Doc ID 2703527.1)

Exalogic Kinetic Infrastructure Tools (EKIT): Set of scripts that provide common reusable command line infrastructure actions for Exalogic virtual platforms (Doc ID 1933252.1)

Customers running an EKIT vServer created with an older version of the quickstart template may update EKIT in-place without the need to delete the existing vServer and create a replacement using a newer template.

Scope

The scope of this document is limited to upgrading EKIT RPMs within an existing EKIT vServer. Information on how to create an EKIT vServer using EKIT templates can be found in the following document:
