How Does "Restrict Engine To Region" For WFR Field Extraction Work? (Doc ID 2886088.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 29, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Forms Recognition - Version 11.1.1.9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When attempting to extract a custom flexAttribute field, the value should only show up in the top right corner of the first page, and nowhere else. There is a "Regions" tab and a "Restrict engine to region" checkbox. There appear to be four directions in which to specify percentages.

The guide states:

"As you are setting regions, remember that Top 100 %, Bottom 100%, Left 100% and Right 100 % equal an empty area. The entire area would be specified by Top 0 %, Bottom 0%, Left 100%, Right 100%.Top 20, bottom 100 would cover the bottom 80 percent of the document, cutting 20 percent off from the top. Top 100, Bottom 20, would cover the top 80 percent of the document, cutting 20 percent off from the bottom."

Please explain how this works.
