Symptoms

PROBLEM STATEMENT

When attempting to run the UMS purge scripts (How To Purge The UMS Tables On 12c? (Doc ID 2407121.1) ) the following error occurs:

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
ORA-06512: at "DEVSOA_UMS.UMS_CLEANUP", line 432
ORA-06512: at "DEVSOA_UMS.UMS_CLEANUP", line 70

After applying patch 29745401 the ORA-06502 error still occurs
