Last updated on SEPTEMBER 22, 2023

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When selecting to terminate an executed Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) job by accessing the job in the Operator tab within ODI Studio Client and right clicking and selecting "Stop Immediate", the session will terminate in ODI, BUT the database session will continue to run at the database level.

The Operator log will report no inserts of rows or no creation of tables, but the database session remains active and continues to create tables and make inserts which it should not.

Same behavior occurs when using the stopsession.sh command
