Query By Example Filter Field Corresponding To An LOV Field Cannot Be Implemented As An Input Text Field (Doc ID 2888038.1)

Goal

In the 11g versions of ADF all table query by example fields for a table were implemented as inputText boxes.

Now, in 12c, if a field is an LOV, then the query by example will also be an LOV.

The desired approach would be to replace the LOV with an inputText box so that the 11g functionality is returned.

How can that be accomplished?
