Symptoms

In Exalogic Virtual deployments running 2.0.6.3.220419 (Apr 2022 PSU) or lower, slowness is observed in the creation and copying of files on attached volumes with default partition layout on guest vServers running UEK2.

File creation is observed to be significantly slower on an attached volume (ext3 or ext4) compared to that on the root volume, as shown below:
