ODI JMS MQ Processing Every Other Message or Reading Multiple Messages when One is Expected (Doc ID 2891352.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading from ODI 10g to ODI 12.2.1.4, existing jobs that pull messages from an IBM MQ 8.0 queue no longer work as expected.

Instead of pulling each message as it enters the queue, the package with the mapping and further tasks is only processing every other message. This causes messages to be lost, for example, every-other message read.
