Exporting ADF Table is Appending Dot for Integers and Number in Excel Sheet (Doc ID 2891550.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 24, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle JDeveloper - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using ADF 12.2.1.4.0, it is seen that when exporting an ADF table, the framework is appending a dot for integers and number in Excel Sheet.

The Export table feature using af:exportCollectionActionListener is not working correctly in JDeveloper version 12.2.1.4.0. The export feature is displaying inaccurate results in the excel sheet.

When exporting table to excel sheet using af:exportCollectionActionListener component, it is appending dot(.) for integers and numbers in excel sheet when pattern is added to the component. We are seeing this issue in JDeveloper version 12.2.1.4 but not in 12.2.1.0.0. The significance of the issue is very high as the multiple clients are using this export feature for their reports. The expected behavior is to export the number/integer columns to excel sheet without dot appending next to it even when pattern is applied like in previous versions.

The issue was resolved only partially for numbers and integers when using the patch referenced in <Note 2876859.1>. But when the pattern "####.##" is added to display the number with two decimal points, it's still appending a final dot next to the numbers in the Excel sheet.
