This MOS note provides you with the information that you need to download the container image and run containers for the Oracle Internet Directory product.

Actions

As of July 2022 product management has made the decision to pull all releases of the OID container-based images. Evaluation is being made to determine when/if the OID product will return in a container-based release. This section will be updated with more information as details emerge.

Minimum Version Requirements for Containerized Service

The table below outlines the minimum requirements of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) technologies that are required to use Oracle Identity and Access Management 12.2.1.4.x and Oracle Microservices for Identity Management:

Container Image Download/Patch Details

The tables below outline the patch history for the Oracle Internet Directory 12.2.1.4.x. In all cases the patch listed is a container image that can be used for a new installation, or can be installed as a patch (which includes bug fixes and enhancements) on top of existing installs. Oracle recommends downloading and applying the latest release, which us cumulative to those before it. The previous images will remain listed in the document for a historical record. If you prefer to build your own Oracle Internet Directory 12.2.1.4.x container image, refer to the documentation listed earlier in this note.

Oracle Container Registry for Middleware Products

Starting Dec. 20, 2021 Oracle started releasing WebLogic Server and Fusion Middleware Infrastructure (FMW Infrastructure) images in the Oracle Container Registry (OCR) with the latest Patch Set Update (PSU), Critical Patch Updates (CPUs), and security patches applied.

The images listed at the top of the Middleware repositories page for the 40+ repositories contain the base image release. The CPU repository for the IDM images, which contains images that include security fixes and any bundle patch release, can be found at the bottom of the Middleware repositories page in the "CPU Repository" section.

Starting in Oct 2022 Oracle no longer upload container releases to MOS as a downloadable patch. From Oct. 2022 onwards all container releases will only be made available from the Oracle Container Registry (OCR).
