ORA-01555 When Running Query From a WebLogic Application (Doc ID 2892851.1)

Symptoms

A query is working successfully when run directly on the database server or through SQL*Developer, but it is giving the error ORA-01555 when run from the application. 
The application is deployed to WebLogic 12.2.1.4 and connects to 19.12 database.
