Is It Possible To Use A Web Service Data Control With a Service Requiring an API-key For Authentication? (Doc ID 2893814.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 05, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle JDeveloper - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The use case here is to expose a web service using a Data Control and have the data appear in an ADF page.

When an attempt is made to use the wizard in JDeveloper to create the control, when all the information is entered for the service and the Test Connection button is pressed, it fails.

An API-key header and host header need to be provided for communication for this particular service for success. If these headers are not passed, the service will not respond.

Is there a way to specify a custom header while setting up the connection?
