Symptoms

When compiling a form using command:
$FORMS_INSTANCE/bin/frmcmp_batch.sh module=test.fmb module_type=form userid=user/"<password with special characters>"@orcl

the following error is encountered => ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
