Exalogic: OL6 Physical Compute Node Kernel Panics During Reboot Following PSU Upgrade (Doc ID 2896130.1)

Symptoms

The PSU upgrade on a Physical Linux compute node running Oracle Linux 6 appears to apply successfully. However, when the node auto-reboots to complete the upgrade as part of the PSU, it fails to come up due to kernel panic. The following stack trace is observed in the ILOM console:



The kernel displayed in the stack trace depends on the PSU being applied.
