Not Possible To Filter Out Data When There Are Dependencies (Doc ID 2898347.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 27, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle JDeveloper - Version 12.2.1.4.0 to 12.2.1.4.0 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An ADF application has a page with a read-only, sortable, filterable and single row select table.

The table is backed by a Data Control based upon a View Object.

In turn, the View Object has two LOVs defined.

The two LOVs are both based upon an accessor backed by SQL-query based View Objects.

The query of one of these two SQL-query based View Objects depends on a bind variable.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
-------------------
When running the page, if the filters are empty, the filtering does not work correctly (i.e. does not show the expected values) until the filter for the field involving the bind variable has been queried with a value.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-------------------
The filtering should work consistently all the time.
