Symptoms
Kerberos authentication succeeds when the configuration file, krb5.conf, is:
- Missing.
- Missing information for dns_lookup_kdc, KDC, and realm.
- In the wrong location. In other words, the krb5.conf file does not exist in the location the operating system (OS) expects.
