Oracle Advanced Authentication - Version 12.2.1.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
OAA has a feature that allows Passwordless Authentication, when configured with Oracle Access Manager (OAM). This is not to be confused with Oracle Access Manager (OAM) Passwordless Authentication. For OAA, the end user is asked for username/password the first time while accessing the protected resource. The user is then redirected to OAA for MFA where a persistent cookie is set which then identifies user next time around. The cookie contains the encrypted username and when control comes to Plugin it fetches the username from cookie. The next time (and subsequently) when the user accesses a protected page, they are only prompted for OAA MFA.
