Microsoft Windows (32-bit)
Symptoms
Oracle ESSO 11.1.2.3.2 Logon Manager is causing performance issues with IE 11
After upgrading ESSO Logon Manager from version 11.1.2.3.1 to 11.1.2.3.2, the ESSO Logon Manager processes are causing keystrokes to lag or be dropped when users type text into web applications rendered in the IE 11 web browser or in Microsoft Edge Chromium with IE compatibility mode enabled.
It is understood that support for IE 11 ended on June 15, 2022, however, the users work with proprietary web applications that currently only work in IE 11.
Users have to shut down ESSO-LM to be able to work in IE 11 and manually enter their user credentials to logon to ESSO enabled applications.
BUSINESS IMPACT
Due to this issue, users experience performance degradation in a proprietary web application that requires Internet Explorer, when ESSO Logon Manager processes are running. Users must shut down ESSO Logon Manager to use the web application in IE.
