Goal

The ESSO Logon Manager client fails to Respond to Web Applications in Microsoft Edge web browser.

After installing the new version of ESSO 11.1.2.3.2, the ESSO extension is getting installed and enabled successfully in the Microsoft Edge web browser. However, the ESSO Logon Manager is not recognizing web applications rendered in the Microsoft Edge web browser and therefore fails to inject the users credentials into the logon form of the applications.

It was discovered that the Native Messaging Host entry for the ESSO Web Extension is located in the following registry location:

When the Native Messaging Host entry is in this location, ESSO Logon Manager fails to inject credentials for web applications in the EDGE browser. When the registry location is moved manually to HKLM, ESSO Logon Manager recognizes the web application in Microsoft Edge and successfully injects the credentials.
