User Accounts Not Synchronized from AD to OID with DIP Error: "From performWriteChanges" in Enterprise Manager (EM) (Doc ID 2905322.1)

Symptoms

User accounts are not getting synchronized from Microsoft (MS) Active Directory (AD) to Oracle Internet Directory (OID), and thus not provisioned to eBusiness Suite (EBS) either.

The DIP server is showing the following error in Enterprise Manager (EM) Fusion Middleware (FMW) Control console, as well as a number of failed changes and skipped changes.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to Enterprise Manager.
  2. Open navigation > expand Identity and Access
  3. Click on DIP (<version>)
  4. Scroll down to the DIP sync status session to see the error above
