Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo Application Runtime for CICS and Batch - Version 12.2.2 to 12.2.2 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Tuxedo12.2.2, The TUXEDO ART configuration must be able to run ARTSTR servers and ARTWTR servers so there is no collision on the terminal identifiers used in these different servers.

In ARTSTR the value of EIBTRMID is entirely managed by ART whereas in ARTWTR the value of EIBTRMID must be managed by the caller of the ARTWTR services (an ARTDPL service in our case).

The value of EIBTRMID is communicated in the FML buffer exchanged between ARTDPL and ARTWTR.

To avoid collisions in the allocation of terminal identifiers, Oracle for access to a function delivering a unique terminal identifier compatible with ARTSTR.
