ESSO Web Extension Is Not Installed Automatically In The Microsoft Edge Browser (Doc ID 2913726.1)

Symptoms

The ESSO Web extension is not automatically installed in the Microsoft Edge web browser.

The group policy in Active Directory has been updated to allow installation of browser extensions and ESSO's browser extension has been added to the white-list file to allow the installation. The automated installation is still not occurring.

ESSO Web extension for Logon Manager is expected to be installed automatically in the Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge Chromium based browsers.


Due to this issue, users cannot use Logon Manager to inject credentials into web applications rendered in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge Chromium web browsers.
